Last year, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . I’ve been seeing that Silvia a lot this summer as well.
This morning, I saw that same guy once again. This time, he was driving a RHD R34 Skyline GT-R V-spec with temp plates.
The really interesting thing is that I never see him at car shows...it would appear that these are DDs...
The aforementioned Silvia!

Depends on if it’s one of the MotorX cars or not.

where 1 is returning a lost wallet with all the money still in it, and 10 is driving an R34 in the USA.

Motorex imported the R33 and then lied and said the R34 was cool too. There are no legal Motorex R34s IIRC.
ETA: Apparently there are a handful of legal R34s from Motorex. Who’da thunk it?
![]() 11/05/2015 at 12:58 |

there are a handful Motorex R34’s (12 or so) that were given a ‘good faith’ waiver by the DOT since the owners went through all the trouble to get the paperwork done. That’s the last I heard, could be wrong

It’s as legal as smoking weed in Colorado, in-that the state doesn’t care, but the Feds will stomp you a new asshole.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 12:59 |
|
oooo. I was under the impression that none of them were legal, as Motorex duped the Feds.
![]() 11/05/2015 at 13:08 |

Nope the feds basically said hey you guys tricked us but we won’t take away your customers cars since its partly our fault for not catching you hence the good faith letters Which is why motorex r34s go for huge cash

So illegal trump wants the r34 to build a wall to keep itself out of america

So your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find out who this person is, get the story, and report back to Oppo headquarters. Should you or any of your IM (Import Mystery) team be caught, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your stalking.

What you did there... I have seen it. :)
![]() 11/05/2015 at 14:04 |

it’s probably so he/she doesnt get noticed all that much so they can keep driving their oh so illegal imports
![]() 11/05/2015 at 15:28 |

Is that a temporary tag on the back of it?
![]() 11/07/2015 at 18:24 |

I know the owner! He’s a very nice guy. He and his wife have an R32, S15 and R34
![]() 11/07/2015 at 18:25 |

Therefore you are wrong. There are 15 legal R34s
![]() 11/07/2015 at 18:32 |
|
Incorrect. There are 15 R34s that were given a pass because the owners could not have known Motorex fucked them over. They still aren’t legal per the Motor Vehicle Safety Compliance Act, and any other illegal vehicles imported before their 25 year limit will always be considered illegal.
![]() 11/07/2015 at 18:38 |

Nope, they have a bond release from customs. NHTSA and EPA legal. Legal. They were converted to what was considered legal at the time, and have been grandfathered in (I’m too tired to word this better right now)

I’m just seeing how long I can drag this out haha.
But question - did Motorex make the changes to the R34s like they did with the R33s? Or was it the testing that they skipped out on. From my understanding it was Motorex stating the R34 was similar to the R33 and they did not need to crash test the R34 separate that ended their ability to import.

They still performed similar modifications, but it wasn’t crash tested.
